So, today, I went to the
Qian Hu fish farm with my last class mate. Probably the last field trip before Graduation?
We had a tour around the farm, saw those real huge Jin Long Yu in a gallery. All the Jin Long Yu sold there cost like a few thousand dollars. Sometimes, I really pity Jin Long Yu. Although they are very high in value and precious, all they can do is to swim back and fro in that boring, empty fish tank. Actually all fishes are like that. I wouldn't want to be an ornemental fish for my next life...
At the fish farm, we browsed around and saw some weirdo frog which its skin colour really looks like a leaf. I'm very afraid of frogs and toads. I hate slimy stuff, eating fish skin for example. I used to like to eat Tian Ji. But now, whenever that Tian Ji dish is on the table, I would always think of the green and slimy frog jumping in the cage, waiting to be cooked. Eeeks. So, i don't really eat Tian Ji now though I used to like them a lot.
At there, there were some shrimps and crabs too. For example there were some CRYSTAl shrimps, blue crabs etc. I also saw this fish which was transparent I think. I could only see its spinal cord linking from the tail to its head, the only thing which was opaque.
Yesterday, I heard quite a lot of stories about people catching the fish at the long-gang. So, I spent $4 on a fish tank and a fish net, plus 5 fishes. Actually, it was supposed to be 2 as I had only caught 2 fishes. Sob.. Sob.. Luckily JW gave me another 3. If not, I don't think the person packing the fishes into plastic bags would even know that there were fishes inside as I just caught 2 white fishes which look very transparent. I spent don't now how long,
kneeling at the side of long-gang waiting for the fishes to come into my net. And the texture of the floor there was super rough, as its like made up of small small pebbles. Grr. When finally stood up, my legs were like so jelly and my knee hurt like siao. Of course for my shine too. There were many red little holes on it.
I had been to Qian Hu fish farm once or twice before to buy some koi fishes and for me to play, as in catch some fishes. So, like this time, I paid $4 and caught some fishes too. But definately more than two. When I went home, I kept it in the tank, changing water, and feeding it with food. Then, Auntie suggested to put the small long-gang fishes into the pond with kois. At first, I thought the long- gang fishes would die as the pond was deeper and bigger compared to the long-gang it lived at Qian Hu. But, wan wan mei you xiang dao, the fishes actually survived and produced lots of baby. Instead, of the kois eating the small fishes, the small fishes were acutally feeding on the kois skin. Causing them to "fall sick". Because of that, a few of my dad's precious kois had died.. I would never ever put the long-gang fishes into the pond again!!
My fishes, including the free one that they gave are surving well in that small little tank now. I fed them with our koi fishes' food, soon, a strand of black poo could be seen. Then, I changed the water in the tank as the old water was full of shit and food. I hope I will see no dead fishes tomorrow!
